I am not the US can I also participate, and will I be eligible for the prize

    Hi Reyan,

    I'm sorry, but this competition is only open to the AWS Educate members who are current residents of the U.S. We hope to run another one in the future that is global, but for now you would not be eligible for prizes.

    Hi Stefanie,
    As a follow up, if I'm in the U.S., do I need to be a student in order to participate? I graduated a couple of years ago. Can I still participate / submit?

    Hey Arjun,

    It's only open to US residents who are also members of the AWS Educate program. I do not believe you would be accepted into the program if you've been out of school that long, unless you also happen to be a US veteran.

    What about the residents of Canada, who are also in the AWS educate program? Are students from Canada allowed to participate in the Hackathon?

    Unfortunately, not for this one. We do hope to run a global one if this is a success. Check out the listings for some other global opportunities in the meantime: https://devpost.com/hackathons

    Also, if you build a student skill and submit it to the challenge, I'd be happy to display it with the others it just wouldn't be eligible for prizes this time.

    Hi, I am looking to enter this hackathons. I have a business setup to teach youth in a 501c3 stem program how to develop Alexa Skills but it looks like this is catered towards youth developing the skill? I am not sure how to signup for the AWS since when I choose Business it looks like it is setup for me to post jobs? So maybe I need to signup as an Educator?
